a painting evolved that captures the life of a Minnesota

VERMONT
HOCKEY - "Legends of the Gut"
The
recently completed painting and print edition commissioned
by the University of Vermont Victory Club is now available
through the UVM Athletic Department. This painting is
a historic tribute to men's ice hockey at the University
of Vermont. The focal point of the painting features
twelve of Vermont's all-time great players gathered
together on the ice at famed Gutterson Fieldhouse, affectionately
known as "The Gut". Martin St. Louis, Eric
Perrin, John LeClair, Aaron Miller and Tim Thomas are
among those featured.

"TIM
HORTON'S EH!"
Tim
Horton's, the Canadian restaurant chain that stretches
from Kamloops to Halifax and is as closely associated
with hockey as it is with great donuts, has chosen to
use the artwork of Terrence Fogarty on their 2007 Holiday
calendar. Tim Horton was an NHL Great who founded the
donut chain after his playing days. The restaurants
have become part of the Canadian landscape and still
maintain an active presence in promoting youth hockey
in Canada.

SOX
and the City
A
new book by Chicago Sun-Times columnist and film critic
Richard Roeper, of "Ebert and "Roeper"
fame, will feature the painting "Gametime on the
Southside" by Terrence Fogarty on the front cover.
Due for September 2006 release, "Sox and the City"
chronicles Roeper's love affair with the Chicago White
Sox over the last 40 years.
The painting "Gametime on the Southside" has
recently been released as a canvas giclee print. Edition

MICKEY
MANTLE AUCTION
|
|
Guernsey's Auction house
in New York City was the place and $88,500 was the winning
bid for the painting "Life of a Legend" by Terrence
Fogarty. The December 8th auction raised $3.25 million through
the sale of Mickey Mantle memorabilia. The original oil which
hung at Mantle's restaurant in New York for many years, drew
the eighth highest bid of the 300 items in the auction.
Guernsey's auction catalog described the painting as "one
of the most unique documentations of the career of a sports
legend ever created."
Terrence Fogarty has painted several other original pieces
of Mickey Mantle artwork that were commissioned exclusively

"A one-day auction of about 300 items put up for
sale by the family of Mickey Mantle raised $3.25 million,
Arlan Ettinger, president of Guernsey's, the New York auction
house that handled the sale, said yesterday. The Mantle family
sold the memorabilia to put money into a trust for the grandchildren
of the Yankees slugger, who died in 1995 at age 63."
